At Casana, we believe in fair and direct transactions. That's why we've eliminated commission fees altogether. As a host, you pay a modest listing fee to showcase your property on our platform. From there, 100% of the rental income is yours to keep, making stays more cost-effective for guests and more profitable for you.
Streamlined Functionality, Fraction of the Cost
We aim to provide 80% of the functionalities found on other platforms but at just 10% of the cost. This approach ensures that the heart of the transaction—the connection between renter and host—remains uncomplicated and direct.
How It Works: A Simple Process
- List Your Property: Easily add your vacation home to Casana, just as you would on any other rental platform.
- Advanced Calendar Management: Utilize our calendar feature with advanced pricing options to efficiently manage your bookings.
- Direct Communication: Engage in direct conversations with guests through our platform’s messaging system or external channels like email and WhatsApp, before, during, and after their stay.
- Autonomy in Transactions: We stand back from the transaction, allowing you to set your own cancellation and payment policies. The contract is directly between you and your guest.
- Direct Payment: Payments are made directly between you and the guest through your preferred method, bypassing our platform entirely to ensure you receive your full rental income without any commission fees.
What We Choose Not to Offer
- Insurance: As hosts ourselves, we’ve found simple and cost-effective ways to extend our existing home insurance to cover rentals for a minimal cost. We encourage dealing directly with professional insurance companies for comprehensive coverage and support.
- Escrow and Payment Modulation: To keep our platform streamlined and cost-effective, we do not handle escrow accounts or payment modulation.
- Tax Reporting: As the transactions are directly between host and guest, we are not involved in tax reporting. Hosts are responsible for declaring rental income as per local regulations.
